advice

     I am excited to go into 10th grade; though i am a little nervous. Alls the classes that I have signed up for, sound tough, and I am worried that i will have a hard time with them. Some goals that I have for going into 10th grade are basically to improve on the things that I had trouble with as a freshman.

College Plans

After high school I do want to go to college. I would like to be an architect. Growing up I have wanted to be many different things, hair dresser, or a singer. I think that college is important in getting a job in the future.When I am choosing a college I think that it is important that the college offers a program that interests me. It is important to me that I go to college because there has only been one person in my family that has graduated from college. The cost and the location of the college are also important.

Olive's Ocean, Kevin Henkes

     I am only half way through my book right now, so far I like it. I had a hard time getting into it but now the chapters are quick and easy to understand.
    This book is about a girl who goes to her grandmother's house over the summer with her family; she makes a deal with her, that every day they tell each other something new about themselves that the other one didn't know. Along the way she meets and oldtime neighbor at her grandmother's beach house, she experiments with her new awkward relationship.

Technology

How has technology affected you and influenced our culture?

Technology, a word that almost every person knows. Technology is used every single day, facebook, youtube, wikipedia. The internet is one of the most used recources that our culture uses. It seems so pleasent that you can look up something  that you dont know quickly in class, or even writting this on my blogspot in Mrs. Innes's room instead of going all the way down to the library.

Book Talk

Bounce by Natasha Friend

Evyn's had enough problams in her, sstaring with her life, starting with her mother's death when she was young. But now her father is marrying  a woman Evyn hardly knows, and forcing Evyn and her brother to go live with this woman...and her six children. Evyn wants her old life, her old friends, her old house.

I am not done reading this book yet, but so far I think that it is an okay book. I have read two other of Nataha Friend's books before. She writes about mostly teenage girls and what they struggle with in there "teen" years.

Discussion Question: If you were foced to move in with complete strangers and know that you wouldn't be happy what would you do? Why?

Hello Summer!

Summer is almost here!!! Summer is my favorite season, the warm weather and beautiful sunsets, though it never lasts. The long days and never having to worry about homework. Being able to go to the beach. My favorite thing to do in the summer is going to the beach. My family goes on a trip to Maine every year. Another of my favorite things to do is have fires at my house. Summer is definatly the best time of the year, wearing flip flops and having glowsticks on late nights.
